The St Francisville City Council met Wednesday night in regular session. Mayor Danny Lynn reported that the city will be installing about 50 cross ties on the old trestle bridge next week. The work will take place both Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. with traffic diverted during the working hours. Lynn indicated that the work is a continuing effort to upgrade and maintain the structure. Also during the meeting, the council did approved the Fiscal Year Tax Levy of $47,300-a slight increase from the previous year. They heard a proposal from Brett Dawson of Dawsforce on upgrading the city computer systems. No decisions were made with more information being gathered for a potential vote in January. Mayor Lynn also presented a citizen check donation to the Civic Improvement Corporation (CIC) of $2000. That money will go toward sidewalk repairs in the city in the future.
