Ralph F. Rinsch, age 83, of Flat Rock, Illinois passed away on Saturday, November 06, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born on March 19, 1938 in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Carl and June (Stevenson) Rinsch. He married the love of his life, Josephine Riker, on July 19, 1959, and she survives.

Ralph graduated from Lawrenceville High School in 1956, and worked at the Pinkstaff Grain Elevator out of high school. He then went to work for Briggs Pottery in Robinson, Illinois, while also running a machine shop out of his garage. Later, Ralph took up farming and oilfield production, which he continued with his three sons up until his passing. Ralph was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. His greatest love was for Jo and all of his family. He always found great joy in working in the field. Whether it be in a cornfield, beanfield, or oilfield, he enjoyed all of it. He will be remembered for always being a hard worker, with a kind and soft heart.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one son, Lary Rinsch; one brother, Roy Rinsch; and one infant sister, Carlena Rinsch.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Josephine; three sons, Gary Rinsch and wife, Amy, Jerry Rinsch and wife, Michelle, and Johnny Rinsch and wife, Tina all of Flat Rock, Illinois; one sister, Jewel Ford of Flat Rock, Illinois; seven grandsons, Brandon Rinsch and wife, Ashley of Flat Rock, Illinois, Cody Rinsch and wife, Jayla of Bridgeport, Illinois, Jesse Rinsch of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Dakota Rinsch of Charleston, Illinois, Dillon Rinsch and wife, Maddy of Flat Rock, Illinois, Blake Rinsch and fiancé, Courtney of Flat Rock, Illinois, and Wyatt Rinsch of Flat Rock, Illinois; one granddaughter, Meghan Rinsch of Flat Rock, Illinois; eight greatgranddaughters, Rynleigh, Ainsley, Adeline, Harlow, Ellisyn, Avalynn, Kamryn, and Leni; and one great-grandson, Carson.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on
Saturday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Otterbein Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Birds Free Methodist Church.
