The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,130 new confirmed cases of coronavirus across the state Wednesday with 29 new deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department reported 8 positive cases Wednesday with 2 hospitalizations. Knox County Indiana had 62 new cases on Wednesday. Currently, the IDPH is reporting a total of 1,675,793 cases of the disease with 25,527 deaths in the state since the pandemic began. A total of 15,132,881 vaccines have been administered in Illinois since the vaccine rollout began. On Tuesday, over 33,000 vaccinations occured at sites across the state.
