The Vincennes City and Vincennes Township Fire Departments were both mobilized to deal with two restaraunt fires Monday. The first occured around 8 a.m. EDT at Applebys located at Hart Street and Kimmell Road. Authorities say that a restroom sign had a short in its wiring and caught the ceiling on fire with no reported injuries. The second happened at approximately 2:30 p.m. EDT at Byron Bobes Pizza at 812 Main Street. Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the second level at the rear of the building and were on the scene for 1 and 1/2 hours. There were no reported injuries. There has been no damage estimate given. The Indiana State Fire Marshalls Office has been called in to assist local investigators in determining the cause.
