The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,176 new cases of coronavirus across the state Monday with 28 new deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department did not report any cases Monday. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 1,671,275 cases of the disease with 25,470 deaths statewide. A total of 15,075,110 vaccinations have now been administered at sites across the state since the vaccine rollout began. In a related note, the LCHD has announced it will host a drive-through Flu-Shot Clinic Thursday October 21st from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. CDT at the Central Christian Church in Lawrenceville. They will also be offering COVID-19 booster and third shots for those who are now eligible. Those who attend should remember to bring their insurance/Medicare/Medicaid cards.
