The Lawrence County Cross Country Indians hosted their first meet of the young season Tuesday at Lawrenceville City Park course. In the boys race. Mt Carmel won with 22 points followed by Oblong-Palestine-Hutsonville with 33. The Lawrence County squad did not have enough runners for a team score but Seth Seitzinger of the Indians did finish first in the race as an individual in a time of 19:55.66 and Dominic Wells was 6th in 23:12.31. There were no team scores in the girls race, but Melina Loudermilk of the Lady Indians was first as an individual in a time of 23:45.62 with teammate Ophelia Klein second in 24:21.69. Reese Tracy finished fifth in 28:44.56.The Indians will compete in the Peoria Invitational Saturday.
