GREENE IN SOUTHEASTERN ILLINOIS

Controversial Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is scheduled to be in southeastern Illinois Thursday evening. Greene was elected to Congress in 2020 and has been a strong supporter of former President Donald Trump and his stolen election claims. She also has been criticized for regarding COVID-19 mask mandate comparisons to the Holocaust and the Nazis. She is appearing as the guest of Illinois 15th District Republican Congresswoman Mary Miller and will speak at the Keller Center in Effingham at 7 p.m. with a reception at 5:30.
