Antonio Nieves of South Vermillion ran for an unofficial record of 213 yards on 24 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead the Black to a 15-14 win over the Gold Saturday in the 17th annual Wabash Valley Football Coaches Association All-Star Football Game. The contest was held at Memorial Stadium on the campus of Indiana State University in Terre Haute. The Black led 15-6 late in the fourth quarter and recovered an onside kick after a late score by the Gold cut the lead to 1 with just over a minute remaining. The game featured some of the top senior players from around the area including Lawrence County.
