The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,562 new cases of coronavirus across the state Tuesday with 26 new deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department reported no new cases Tuesday with the total remaining at 2,474. 9 cases remain active with 1 hospitalization and no new deaths. There were no new cases reported Tuesday in Knox County Indiana with the total cases there stationary at 3,719 with no new deaths. Since the pandemic began, there have been 1,357,953 cases of the disease in Illinois with 22,261 deaths. Over 10 million vaccinations have now been administered in the state since the vaccine rollout began with over 58,000 shots issued Tuesday at sites around Illinois.
