The Lawrence Unit 20 Board of Education met Wednesday night in regular session and did reorganize. Recognized as winners in the April 6th election were incumbent Kenny Waller and newcomers Reese Ivers and Dana Goodwin. Ivers and Goodwin replace longtime board members Shane Gray and Andy Shick who leave after serving 17 and 12 years respectively. All were sworn in. T.J. Pargin was elected as the new board President replacing Mike “Doodle” Seitzinger in that position. Ron Waldrop was elected Vice-President and Waller Secretary. The new board accepted the resignations of Jeremy Brush as Parkview Junior High Principal and Kyle Shelton as Parkview Dean of Students and Athletic Director with those positions now being posted. Superintendent Doug Daugherty told WAKO News that it is hoped to interview for and fill those two positions sometime in May.
