The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 4,191 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus across the state Thursday with 103 new deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department reported no new cases Thursday with the case total remaining at 2,269 positive. 148 of those are active with 1 hospitalization. 2,092 people have recovered and the death toll is stationary at 29. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 1,116,372 cases of the disease with 19,067 total deaths statewide. So far, there have been 829,488 people vaccinated statewide with over 55,800 doses administered Thursday. Preparations are continuing by the LCHD for the COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Clinic at Lawrenceville High School Saturday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The drive-thru clinic will serve Phase 1-B-individuals age 65 and older and frontline workers that work and live in Lawrence County.
