Paul Bret O’Brien, age 54, of Kirklin, Indiana, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana. He was born on May 22, 1966 in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Paul O’Brien and Sandra (Ford) Waldrop. He married Rhonda Jeanine Huff on November 02, 2013 at Dull’s Tree Farm, and she survives.
Bret worked in maintenance for the Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Academy. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting big game, camping, and anything outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda O’Brien of Kirklin, Indiana; father, Paul O’Brien and wife, Freda of Vincennes, Indiana; mother, Sandy Waldrop and husband, Dean of Sumner, Illinois; father-in-law, Kenneth Huff of Curtisville, Indiana; mother-in-law, Stella Ferren of Kokomo, Indiana; one uncle, Toney Ford of Bridgeport, Illinois; four aunts, Carole Adams and husband, Jack of Oklahoma, Lois Jones of South Carolina, Joyce Balding of Indiana, and Betty Higgins of Indiana; and numerous cousins.
Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 for a visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. CST at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home, 509 South Christy, Sumner, Illinois 62466. Burial will be in the Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
