Dorothy K. Lantz, age 90, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, January 06, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born on January 18, 1930 in Champaign, Illinois. She was the adopted daughter of Herman and Marjorie (Morris) Kolter. She married Larry Lantz on August 06, 1961, and he passed away on February 13, 2012.
Dorothy owned and operated the Straw Shop in Florida. She also worked for WAKO Radio and Texaco Refinery. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Dorothy enjoyed cross stitching, reading devotional books, hummingbirds and cardinals, singing in chorus and singing solos, shopping, movies, ice tea, and eating with Krystal. She was an avid reader and a good cook.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; and brother, Robert “Bob” Kolter.
Survivors include one son, Jamey Lantz and wife, B. J. of Ormond Beach, Florida; one daughter, Penny Pruet of Sarasota, Florida; three sisters, Berniece Buchanan of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois, Louise Szeles of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Lenora Goetz of Kansas, and one granddaughter, Krystal Pruet-Lantz of Savannah, Georgia.
Private services will be conducted for the family.
