An Evansville Indiana man has been arrested by authorities on murder charges in relation to the 2014 disappearance/killing of a Wayne County Illinois teen. 26 year old Brody Murbarger was taken into custody at his place of employment Wednesday without incident and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where he was awaiting extradition to Illinois. A grand jury had issued an indictment for Murbarger in the case. Megan Nichols of Fairfield was initially considered to be a missing person until her remains were discovered in a shallow grave in a remote area south of Boyleston in rural Wayne County in 2018. She had been missing since July of 2014. Bond for Murbarger has now been set at $5 million.
