The Lawrence Public Library Board of Trustees met in regular monthly session Tuesday evening at the library in downtown Lawrenceville and after a public hearing approved a Fiscal Year 2021 Budget for operation of the library district. The vote was unanimous. Board Chairman Mike Neal was satisified with the fiscal condition of the library heading into the new spending plan. He did  say that the district will be running a $10 to 12,000 deficit due to two outstanding debt certificates for the library window repair project. There was discussion about the upcoming consolidated election on April 6th of 2021. There will be four trustee seats up for election. Petitions can be obtained for circulation on Tuesday September 22nd and filing for the seats will be December 14th.
