JULY LAWRENCEVILLE POLICE REPORT

Lawrenceville Police Chief Jim White has released his departmental activity report for the month of July. City police recieved 315 requests for an officer during the month. They were involved in 10 assault and battery investigations, 8 drug investigations, 6 theft investigations, 5 burglary investigations, 4 vandalism investigations and 2 investigations each of shoplifting and stolen vehicles. The department did investigate 6 incidents of child abuse and neglect and a missing persons case in July. They made 15 misdeameanor arrests, 14 felony arrests and 3 juvenile arrests. There were 11 ordinance violations. Officers handled 4 traffic accidents during the month-2 were property damage collisions and 2 were cases of hit and run. Lawrenceville Police did assist the Lawrence County Sheriffs Department and the Illinois State Police 5 times and emergency fire and medical services 3 times in July.
