The Vincennes City Council met in regular session Monday night at City Hall and did approve an amended landscaping ordinance on 2nd and 3rd readings. The action came after a number of citizens appeared to speak against some of the revisions made and a public petition was also presented to the council opposing the measure. Two new firefighters added to the city department were also formally introduced after being sworn in-Griffin Major formerly of Odon Indiana and Joshua Strange from Bloomington Indiana are the latest to join. They begin their new duties immediately.
