The Red Hill Unit 10 Board of Education met in regular session Thursday. They recieved an update by Superintendent Jakie Walker of work toward formulating an education plan for the start of the new school year. He indicated that it is hoped the plan would be finalized by the end of the month with a special session to approve it at a time and date to be determined. It will then be released to the public. The board did approve the repair of 2 steam pipes at Bridgeport Grade School and the purchase of rubber mulch for the BGS playground through capital project funds. It was reported that the 20th annual Greene scholarship winners will be announced in the future. There will be no reception for the recipients due to COVID-19. 10 students were selected for the $3000 awards.
