The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 646 confirmed cases of coronavirus across the state Sunday with 15 more deaths. Overall there have been 141,723 total confirmed cases of the disease statewide since the pandemic began with 6,888 deaths total. Lawrence County remains at 7 positive cases with 6 of those recovered. There is one active case currently in home isolation and there have been no deaths. In a related note, the IDPH has launched a new tool to help assess the threat of coronavirus in individual counties. It features a map that assesses how each county is doing when it comes to new cases of the disease, clusters of cases, hospitalizations and other pertinent information in order to give residents an idea of what it is safe for them to do in their area.
