The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Board met Wednesday at the Port in Bridgeport for it’s first in-person session since February due to the pandemic. Executive Director Paige Harvey told members that there have been 16 new businesses join the organization and Mary Seitzinger is the new administrative assistant. Presentations were made by Kasey and John Yochum on the upcoming 5th annual Heeps of Jeeps on Saturday August 1st to benefit first responders in Lawrence and Knox Counties with an After-Party scheduled that evening at Highland Woods. Lawrence County Health Department Administrator Amy Marley was also on hand to speak to the membership about the county continuing response to the COVID-19 pandemic and what businesses need to know regarding reopening and other health protocols going forward.
