Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzger announced Wednesday that Phase 3 of his “Restore Illinois” reopening plan has been updated. In Phase 3 which begins June 1st, resteraunts and bars will have the option to reopen for outdoor seating only with tables set 6 feet apart and away from sidewalks. Masks and social distancing for staff will continue. Also all state parks will reopen with concessions under guidelines, indoor and outdoor tennis facilities can reopen with precautions and capacity limits, golf courses can allow foursomes out on the same tee times, boating and camping with up to 10 people will be permitted, health clubs, gyms and fitness studios can provide one-on-one personal training in indoor facilities and outdoor classes for up to 10 people. Personal care services such as nail salons, tattoo shops, spas, and barbershops can open with precautions and capacity limitations and retail stores can open their doors to in-person shopping with precautions and capacity limits in place. Local governments do retain the right to maintain stricter criteria in their areas if need be.
