The Lawrenceville High School Cheerleaders were in Bloomington this past weekend to compete in the IHSA Competitive Cheerleading Finals. The local squad finished 15th out of the 25 teams in the small team group preliminaries Friday and did not advance to the finals with a score of 78.69. Only the top ten scoring teams advanced to the Saturday finals. It is the first time ever that a Lawrenceville cheerleading team has made the state competition. Congratulations to those young ladies and their sponsors on an outstanding season.
