Tawana Nord 80 of Bridgeport passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the United Methodist Village North Campus.
She was born on September 16, 1939 to Ruth (Macminnis) and Clifton Fredrick in Sulphur, Oklahoma.
Tawana worked as a housekeeper. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist of Hot Springs, Arkansas and the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.
She was married to her first husband Gene Wilson for 33 years and then married Donald Nord and both preceded her in death.
Tawana is survived by her daughters Darla Marley and husband Brian of Bridgeport, Illinois, Denise Slater of Euliss, Texas and Dawn Lightfoot and husband Chuck of Waxahachie, Texas, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother John Fredrick, husbands Gene Wilson and Donald Nord.
There will be a Memorial Service at the Glasser Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M., Friday, November 15, 2019. There will be a gathering of family and friends at 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
