Kris Bryant launched a two run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning Wednesday night at Wrigley Field to put the Chicago Cubs ahead enroute to a wild 12-11 win over the San Francisco Giants. Nicholas Castellanos and Kyle Schwarber also went deep as the Cubs picked up their fourth straight win. The outcome pushed the Cubs back into first place in the NL Central over the St Louis Cardinals by 1/2 game after the Redbirds lost Wednesday to Milwaukee. The Cubs look for a sweep of the three game set Thursday afternoon. They will send Kyle Hendricks (8-9) to the mound against former Cub Jeff Samardzija (9-9).
