A single-vehicle accident occurred in Lawrence County Monday afternoon. Jeffrey Madden of Mt. Carmel was driving west on US 50 just east of the Toyota plant when he fell asleep at the wheel. Madden’s vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a guardrail. Madden was not hurt. His vehicle had to be towed from the scene.
