A Lawrenceville man was arrested for driving under the influence while transporting his unrestrained three year-old son in Vanderburgh County Sunday morning. Authorities were patrolling the construction zone on US 41 near I-69 when they stopped a 2019 Nissan for driving 83 mph in the posted 45 mph zone. The driver was identified as 31 year-old Jarvis Green. Green’s three-year-old son was found unrestrained in the back seat. Green displayed signs that he might be impaired. Further investigation revealed Green had a blood alcohol content of .10%. Green was charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Passenger less than 18 years old, Driving without a Valid Driver’s License, Child Restraint Violation and Speeding 83 mph/45 mph zone. Green was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail. The child was released to a relative.
