Illinois Comptroller’s Representative to visit Lawrenceville

   A representative of the Illinois Comptroller’s office will be in Lawrenceville later this month. Outreach Coordinator Josh Downs will be at the Lawrence Public Library on February 21st from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Downs will be on hand to help area residents determine if they have any unclaimed money or property from the state through the I-Cash program. The state comptroller currently has records of more than 100,000 uncashed checks worth over $30 million.
