The Parkview 8th grade basketball Braves have advanced in the IESA Class 8-3A Regional tournament being held at the school in Lawrenceville. The host Braves beat Newton Jasper County Saturday 37-29 to move on to the semifinals. In the other games Saturday, Casey won over Red Hill Junior High 35-12 and Marshall defeated Robinson 47-38. The semifinals take place Monday with the Braves playing top seed Teutopolis at 5 p.m. and Casey playing Marshall at 6:30p.m. The winners meet for the championship Thursday at 6 p.m.
