Good Samaritan Hospital’s Endoscopy Department will be upgrading its equipment in 2018. The hospital’s board of governors approved the $1.2 million dollar purchase at this week’s board meeting. The replacement endoscopy equipment will include processors, light sources, printers, flushing machines and the various scopes needed to provide state-of-the-art care for patients.

The hospital board also approved a change to the hospital’s Purchasing Authority Matrix, allowing the president and CEO to approve non-budgeted equipment purchases greater than $10,000 and less than $75,001 without board approval. Budgeted and non-budgeted purchases more than $75,000 will require board approval.
