The Vincennes City Council is moving forward with an application for some more downtown housing.

Andy Myszak with Myszak and Palmer Architecture and Development went before the city council Monday with plans to build a 3 story, terrace topped apartment complex on 104 North 1st Street where the old grain silos, owned by Robinson Grain, are located.

The planned apartment building will be the 2nd affordable housing complex in the city consisting of 22 affordable apartments and 10 market based apartments.  The plans are in conjunction with the demolition of 11 blighted homes in the city.

The plan is to start construction by the end of next year with leasing scheduled for 2019.

Myszak and Palmer is the same company that designed and built Clark’s Crossing.
