Indiana is a state that is  prone to severe weather.

Last night the National Weather service held weather spotter training on the Vincennes University Campus.

Meteorologist for the National Weather Service Dave Tucek (Too-Seck) the instructor of the training class says weather spotters are key to keeping Indiana safe during severe weather.

Tucek says the most important information weather spotters should take away from this training is cloud formations.

If weather spotters can be trained to spot severe weather forming before it hits, it can help the national weather service get the word out to areas being affected.
