Saturation patrol nets 2….police release info on Thursday’s Vincennes chase

SATURATION PATROL

Indiana State Police arrested two people over the weekend during a saturation patrol in the Vincennes Area. 37-year-old Justin Goings of Vincennes was arrested for driving while intoxicated with refusal. 28-year-old Bryan Shanes of Robinson Illinois was arrested for possession of synthetic drugs and possession of paraphernailia. Both men were taken to the Knox County Jail. Troopers also issued 10-traffic tickets and 11 warnings.

 


 

 

DRUNK DRIVING ARREST

 

Saturday at 5:45-pm, 25-year-old Casie C. Castle of Oaktown was arrested by Vincennes Police and charged with operating while intoxicated and driving left of center.  A concerned citizen had called authorities to report Castle’s alleged erratic driving.  The vehicle was found and an officer witnessed a traffic violation and the vehicle was stopped, arrested and jailed on a $5000 bond.


THURSDAY POLICE CHASE

          Vincennes Police have released information on a police chase that took place last Thursday.

          Officers responded to Montana Mike’s restaurant on Willow where a property damage accident had taken place.   A vehicle involved fled when police arrived.  A high speed chase ensured and the river continued to flee onto Bayou Street from 17th and the driver lost control an officers pulled up to the vehicle and the female driver accelerated hitting the patrol car.  The car went up an embankment and flipped on it’s top.  It then slid into the fence of a Duke Energy substation.  The driver managed to leave the car and flee on foot but was caught after a brief foot chase.

          Talia DeJarnett was jailed for OWI, possession of paraphernalia, reckless driving, resisting arrest and three counts of leaving the scene of an accident.
