A man severely injured in an ATV accident in Knox County on June 11th has died.
Conservation officers report that Abelardo Mendoza of Brownsville, Indiana died on Friday last week.
He suffered head trauma and injuries to the torso in the accident that happened when he was driving the ATV up to 60 miles an hour on South 6th at the soccer fields in Vincennes. He lost control and ended up hitting a utility pole. He was flown to Evansville from the scene. He was not wearing helmet or protective gear.
