A Washington resident died Sunday after being hit by an SUV on Friday.
Washington Police report that it happened on Southeast 6th and East National Highway before 11-pm Friday.
42-year-old Penny Kabriel was driving west on National Highway in an ’01 Escape when 44-year-old Kelly Quiggins attempted to cross the highway and was hit.
Quiggins was treated at the scene and taken to Daviess Community Hospital then flown to Methodist in Indianapolis and died Sunday at 7:41-pm.
The accident remains under investigation and toxicology reports are pending.
