Illinois State Police District 12 in Effingham has announced activity and enforcement figures for the month of April. District 12 does include Lawrence, Crawford, Richland and 7 other counties. During the month troopers answered 126 service calls and initiated 325 incident investigations in the field. Enforcement figures totaled 35 citations with 6 of those for Speeding. There was 1 DUI arrest and 1 criminal arrest. There were also 2 seat belt citations and 1 move over violation. Troopers also investigated 51 traffic accidents in April with 1 of those fatal.
