Robert Lee Limes, Jr., age 61 of Bridgeport, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. He was born in Urbana on February 2, 1959 to Robert Lee Limes, Sr. and Janet Harborough.
Known to most as Bobby, he was a friendly and hardworking guy that was loved by many. As a young man, he attended and graduated from Red Hill High School. Bobby drove a truck for many years. He had also worked at Brian Lumber Company and H.I. Biggs. Bobby worked many years ago as a mechanic for White Tractor Company.
Surviving family includes: four children- Tyler Limes, Kevin Biggs and wife Lori, Jayson Crump, and Joanne Goss and boyfriend Brant Wells all of Bridgeport: two grandsons- Justin Biggs of Granite City and Ben Crump of Bridgeport: two sisters- Carolyn Kirwan of North Vernon, IN and Paula Hollers of Champaign: and his mother- Janet Harborough.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Limes, Sr.
Due to the COVID-19 State of Illinois mandates and requirements, private services for Bobby Limes will be held at Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport. There will also be a graveside service held at Bridgeport City Cemetery.
