The Wabash County States Attorneys Office has announced the sentencing of a Mt Carmel man to prison. 38 year old Shawn Swift was arrested in April of 2018 for Forgery, a Class 3 Illinois felony. He was placed on one year of conditional discharge and later violated that. In Wabash County Circuit Court this week, Swift was given a four year term with the Illinois Department of Corrections to be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release.
