INDIANS BACK ON TRACK AFTER WIN AT CARMI

The Lawrenceville Basketball Indians snapped a four game losing streak Tuesday night with a 53-43 non-conference win against the Carmi-White County Bulldogs in Carmi. The Tribe led 11-7 after one quarter, 23-19 at the half and 37-32 after three enroute to the win.  Pressure zone trapping defense helped the Indians to the win as they forced numerous turnovers that led to baskets. Jordan Jones led the scoring with 18 points and Blayne Winningham added 16. The Indians lost a close JV game 34-33 with Skyler Tewell scoring 14 and the Indian frosh-soph lost to the Bulldogs.  With the win, the Indians improve to 13-14 while Carmi-White County falls to 9-16. The Indians close out the regular season at home Friday night against the Paris Tigers in Little Illini Conference play. It will be Senior Night.
