The Parkview Lady Softball Braves notched their first win of the season Thursday as they defeated their Lawrence County rivals the Red Hill Junior High Miss Salukis 9-3 at Leigh Ann Westall Field in Bridgeport Wednesday. The Lady Braves score nine runs on six hits and made six errors while the Miss Salukis were held to three runs on three hits with no errors. Karleigh Shick picked up the pitching win for 1-1 Parkview and Gracie Stallings and Trinity Fahr each had two hits on the day. The contest was the season opener for the Miss Salukis.
