CUBS SCORE 16 RUNS IN ROAD ROUT OF ROCKIES

Javier Baez and Kyle Schwarber each homered and drove in four runs and the Chicago Cubs exploded for 7 runs in the top of the sixth inning to hammer the Colorado Rockies 16-5 in game 1 of their three game series at Coors Field Friday night. Baez had four hits along with Albert Almora Jr and Schwarber had three as the Cubs posted a season high with 16 runs on 18 hits. Kyle Hendricks went five innings allowing three runs on five hits to even his record at 1-1. Jon Gray took the loss for Colorado and is now 1-4. The Cubs have won two in a row and will play game 2 of the series Saturday night with Yu Darvish (0-1) going against Tyler Anderson (0-0).
