The victim in a single-vehicle fatal accident in Sullivan County over the weekend has been identified. Sullivan County Coroner Mary Ann Dudley identified the victim as 20 year-old Mitchell Ridge. The accident occurred early Sunday morning on South Third Street in Merom near the Merom Cemetery. Sullivan County authorities say Ridge left the roadway after losing control of his pick-up truck around a curve. The truck traveled across a grass field and caught fire. Ridge’s death has been ruled accidental, but the exact cause of death has not yet been found pending toxicology test results. Investigation into the accident continues.
