Shirley L. Pepmeier, 86, of Sandborn

Shirley L. Pepmeier, 86, of Sandborn, IN, passed away August 30, 2016, at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Shirley was retired from the Supply Division of Golden Rule Insurance, and also put in many hours on the family farm. She was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ, and was a lifetime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. As a person who enjoyed animals, Shirley belonged to the Knox County Humane Society, and the ASPCA.

Born November 26, 1929, in Vincennes, IN, she was the daughter of Leo Joice and Inez (Purcell) Joice – Moore. Her parents, and a sister, Juanita Joice, preceded her.

Surviving is her husband, Lee Pepmeier, whom she wed June 18, 1950; her daughters, Kim Everett and her husband, Dennis, of Vincennes; Karen “Kay” Pepmeier of Westphalia, IN; sisters, Patricia Kostecki and Barbara Meier, both of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, Allison Morgan and her fiance’, Noah Ayers, Aaron White, and Nathan White; step-grandchildren, Jeremy Adams and Nichole Everett; and three step-great- grandchildren.

Friends may visit with Shirley’s family from 4:00 – 7:00 on Friday, at Goodwin Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, at 10:30, at the Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery, in Westphalia, IN.
