Vincennes Police arrested six people overnight on drug related charges.
Officers obtained a search warrant after receiving a report of suspicious activity at a home in the 13-hundred block of Perry Street. Poice confiscated one firearm and over 30 grams of marijuana, at the residence.
Four of the six people arrested are charged with possession of marijuana. Those arrested include 20 year-old Davion Merritt and 21 year-old Julian Crawford of Vincennes, 21 year-old Jasper Simpson of Gary, 21 year-old Matthew Clarke of East Chicago, and 25 year-old Briana Gaines and 20 year-old Miara Little– both of Indianapolis. Merritt, Crawford, Clark, and Gaines are all charged with possession of marijuana. Merritt facing an additional charge of dangerous possession of a firearm. All six are being held in the Knox County Jail.
