Jordan Hickman and two others died in Sunday’s accident

A former VU Trailblazer basketball player was one of three people killed in a Kentucky crash on Sunday.

It happened in Nelson County, Kentucky at 7:12 am when Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the crash on US 31 between Fairfield Road and Wolfe Bridge.

Kentucky State Police say 24 year old Jordan Hickman was driving a Chevrolet Malibu and for an unknown reason crossed the centerline, striking a 1996 Dodge pickup truck driven by Brian Waldridge of Bardstown, Kentucky.

Hickman and two others, all three from Bardstown were killed.  Waldridge was seriously injured.

Hickman started all 31 VU games in 2010-11 averaging 7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. He transferred to Indiana Tech where he was an integral part of the 2011-12 NAIA National Tournament team and earned numerous accolades for the Warriors during his junior season.
