Audrey Denise Cook, age 60 of Bridgeport, passed away at her home from an apparent heart attack on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. She was born July 15, 1974 in Big Springs, TX to Walter and Wanda (Dement) Lawrence.
She married Roy D. Cook on October 24, 1974 in Omaha, NE, and he survives.
Audrey loved her family, camping, taking golf cart rides, fishing, being on the beach, and was a big Indianapolis Colts fan. She had ran a daycare for many years and cared for numerous children over the years.
Surviving family includes: her husband Roy D. Cook of Bridgeport: two children- Janet Colonna and her husband Anthony of California, MD and Roy D. Cook, Jr. and his wife Ashley of Linton, IN: six grandchildren- Summer, Brooke, and Blake Colonna, and Caleigh, Parker, and Sadie Cook.: three siblings- Walter W. Lawrence and his wife Cathy of Linton, IN, Gloria Ericksen of Bridgeport, and Kathy Rennebu of Bridgeport: and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A visitation will be held for Audrey Cook from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Cremation will follow as per Audrey’s wishes. Following the visitation, there will be a gathering at the home of Audrey and Roy. Family and friends are welcome to gather there for a time of celebration and remembrance of Audrey’s life.
