National Eating Disorder Awareness Week

  • February 24th through March 1st is National Eating Disorder Awareness Week in the United States.
  • During this week, the goal is to put a spotlight on eating disorders by educating the public, spreading a message of hope and putting lifesaving resources into the hands of those who need it most.
  • Statistics show that eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness and will affect 30 million Americans at some point in their lives.
  • But, many people will not seek the help they need.
