April 18th through the 24th is known as Medical Laboratory Week and is an annual celebration of medical laboratory professionals and pathologists who play a vital role in health care and patient advocacy!
At Lawrence County Memorial Hospital, they know Medical Lab Technicians are the backbone of their testing facilities.
Not many people see them, but they are there working behind the scenes collecting blood and other specimens for further testing to help diagnose patients.
They are also in the frontlines when it comes to critical access and testing patients during COVID-19.
