Thursday, October 15th, 2020 is Global Handwashing Day and this year, it is more important than ever.
Christy Shoulders, Infection Control Nurse with Lawrence County Memorial Hospital explains Global Handwashing Day is a day dedicated to increasing awareness about the importance of hand hygiene, especially through handwashing with soap.
This year’s theme is ‘Hand Hygiene for All.’ The theme reminds us of the need to take immediate action on hand hygiene across all public and private settings to respond and control the COVID-19 pandemic.
