The Lawrence County Board met in regular monthly session Wednesday afternoon at the courthouse in Lawrenceville. After a public hearing, they voted to approve the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget and also the 2023-24 property tax levy which increased 13.9% over the previous year. The board also approved the reappointment of Eric Seitzinger to a three year term on the Russell-Allison Water Authority and approved a resolution for $8000 to support the use of the Illinois Appellate Prosecutors Office by the Lawrence County States Attorney in the future.
