Clarence M. Clark, age 61, of Oblong, Illinois passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023 at his residence. He was born on August 31, 1961 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of Cleo and Betty (Goff) Clark. He married Stacey Shaw on September 03, 2016, and she survives.

Clarence delivered campers all over the country. He previously worked as a truck driver and in the oil field, where he designed a machine to clean oil. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed riding horses and barrel racing, but his passion was riding motorcycles and camping with his grandkids.

Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, John Clark; one son, John Clark II; father-in-law, Jerry Shaw; and one son-in-law, Jeremy Correll.

Survivors include his wife, Stacey; seven children, Joshua Clark of Bridgeport, Illinois, Rebecca Correll of Robinson, Illinois, Jacqueline Merrick of Palestine, Illinois, David Clark and significant other, Angie Holtz of Bridgeport, Illinois, Chasidy Taylor and husband, Scott of Michigan, Claressa Wilson and husband, Austin of Noble, Illinois, and Zachary Clark of Georgetown, Kentucky; six sisters, Bessie Beauchamp and husband, Jim of Ohio, Mary Reeves of Robinson, Illinois, Emma Kindred of Ohio, Lucia Clark of Palestine, Illinois, Betty Harbaugh of Palestine, Illinois, and Phyllis Rodocker and husband, Ron of Clarksville, Tennessee; 15 grandchildren, Jordan Frencl, Makynzee Clark, Cameron Hardin, Levi Wyatt, Brianna and Justin Merrick, Tristan, Maycee, and Dawson Holtz, Chyanne, Dallas, and Nash Taylor, Bentley, Olyvia, and Alixandra Wilson; mother-in-law, Connie Ames of Oblong, Illinois; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 1:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bridgeport City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
